LOAD-BEARING FLUSH BEAM INSTALLATION.
Preparing the area.
- Demo drywall to expose the structure. Above the load-bearing wall to be removed.
- Place LVL material to keep structure stable before removing the load bearing wall below.
- Apply foam in all gaps.
- Proceed to remove load bearing wall.
Installing the beam.
- Demo brick load-bearing wall and its wood structure
- Place the I-beam on its location indicated by the architectural plans.
- Add temporary support
- Minor concrete work to fill up gaps.
- Remove temporary support.
Finishing and final product.
